Inaugural Post!

Welcome to the inaugural Forever Resilient Blog post!  This blog will focus on resiliency in home and workplace, whether you are starting out on your own, or married with ten kids.  It will be applicable for both the self employed to the major corporations.  Each weekly posting will alternate between home and business resiliency.

The business portions will be focused on business continuity (private sector) & continuity of operations (public sector).  Companies should have plans in place to carry them through disasters and crises.  After all, just because the power is out or your servers have gone on "virtual strike" doesn't mean the client's deadline will change.  Business must continue.  If it doesn't, you will lose your client base to your competitors.  So, where do you begin?

When discussing the home aspect, many of the blogs will cover home preparedness, frugality, and overall family security/safety.  In today's struggling economy and ever present threat of natural or man made disasters, families need to be able to sustain themselves for extended periods of time.  FEMA has indicated that families need to be prepared for at least 72 hours.  However, some others have stated at least a week of supplies is needed for proper family preparations (more to follow).  So again, where do you begin, or for more experienced and knowledgeable families, where do you continue from?

Follow us as we guide you through building your family and workplace resiliency.  Together, we will discover how to become resilient as mountain top granite.
